Nothing different was done to my computer, but suddenly I can't see the embedded YouTube videos anymore. It's just a blank background colored square with a small multicolored box in the top left hand corner.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

I just checked Safari and it's only doing it in Internet Explorer. Nothing new was done to the computer. I know it's not WP now, it's my computer. I'm clueless on what to do, so if anybody has any advice on what might help, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks

Go here:

Update your Flash manually. That usually fixes the problem for me. Auto updates don't always come through when they should.

Oops, I just reposted the question with a different subject line. Let me go delete it and I'll go right to that link. Thanks!

I tried and when I clicked on the update for my version the first box pops up to ask me what I want to do. I clicked open and then the box disappeared and nothing else happened. I tried several times, but I can't get it to download.

Reset Internet Explorer settings for a start.

How do I do that?

I went to YouTube a minute ago and it told me that I needed the newest flash player. It does that on some videos, so I thought maybe this will fix it. I downloaded it. The YouTube video works now but I still can't see the embedded videos in the posts. I found out that my daughter upgraded the flash the other day when she did all the upgrades. Since then it hasn't been showing the videos.

Sorry these suggestions aren't helping. These are the only things I can think of you can do to solve the problem.

Occasionally, when updates are released, some of them conflict on certain machines. I have in the past had similar issues. Sometimes, unfortunately, the only thing you can do is patiently wait for the software developers to hear about and fix various issues. So far, they have all corrected themselves for me with further updates.

Wish I had something better to tell you.
