http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/20 ... 838230.htmBaptist leaders say a sign displayed on many of its churches, reading "Jesus loves Osama", is not meant to cause offence.
A number of churches in New South Wales have displayed the sign that also quotes the Bible saying "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you".
NSW Baptist Union spokesman Alan Soden says while he can understand people may be offended, the sign reflects Christian teachings.
"[Jesus] said we should love our enemies as controversial as that may be," he said.
"The bottom line to me is we're all sinners.
"He loves us all, no matter who we are or what we may've done."
(PS - I am not Baptist)
When you think about the Bible verse involved, it is true, and shouldn't exactly cause that much controversy. And it's happened in Australia? Ha!
Isn't Osama dead? They've reported him dead a few months ago, and we haven't heard any messages from ol' "Kidneez R ****ed".....
