I was nicknamed "crybaby" for them in elementary school. Even now, I still have the tendency to meltdown there occasionally. My latest ones were one during a meeting with a professor and another I had last week was due to frustration with homework. People were very supportive to me in the latter though. They took it as a breakdown due to stress or something.

Not so much meltdowns since I've always been kind of reserved. But I used to cry a LOT in elementary school, especially during the first grade. The teacher had it out for me and made me cry on a daily basis. I was very sensitive as a child and the fact that she would go out of her way to scream and yell at me, sometimes in front of everyone else, really got to me. :( (Truth be told I wish I DID have a meltdown at her...but I'm too nice).

The closest I came to having a meltdown would be my freshman year of high school. I was moved to a 'mainstream' class because the available special-ed english class didn't challenge me at all. The teacher decided it was 'game day' (a.k.a pop quiz style games that lasted two periods). I got so tired of it (always hated class games and group projects) and because it was so lengthy I pretty much made it known that I was having a miserable time. I was sighing, huffing, puffing, rolling my eyes, slamming my hands on the desk...should've stayed in the small class. .____.

In grade school? Oh, yes.

I hated school so much that I would make every effort to either stay home, or make life a living hell for the faculty. I once threatened to jump off a high ledge before being nabbed by local cops. My record also includes screaming bloody murder down hallways and in classrooms. I actually got some classrooms evacuated.

I don't know if I'm proud of that or not. :hmph:

Sure glad those days are over though.

I had one on Tuesday after failing a math test that all but guarantees I can't continue going to college.
