Yes I have the same problem. Only during one of my classes, the instructor is talking to us, passing back papers, and moving around the room nonstop. Plus the exam is open book open note so everyone is flipping through their notes and book. I hate it!

I do. My solution is sitting in the back corner of the room and tilting my desk so I can see where all the noise is coming from. When I know what the noise is, and where it's coming from, I don't have as much of a problem with it and I can focus more clearly.

I do the same thing. I sit in the very back row where I can see everyone and so that the professor can't sneak up on me trying to give me back a paper and scare the living daylights out of me!

No I don't, in fact I am just opposite. When I am focused on something like reading, on work, or a test, my brain seems to block out outside stimulation like noises. It is very annoying too, since when I read or do work, people walk up to me and start talking and I don't realize it.

I guess it depends on my mood and at times I think it doesn't distract me at all, but I remember going mad at a classmate of mine during a modern history test some years ago because of rubbing his hand against the paper while writing.

Yes I have this problem (even when I am wearing earplugs). I write my exams in a separate room partly because of this..... You could try talking to a counsellor at your school about your disability and seeing if you can get this accommodation . It’s a pretty basic disability accommodation actually....and I think all schools in Canada and the States would probably be legally bound to provide you with it if you had proper documentation to verify your AS diagnosis and you went through the process/paperwork you needed to at your school. At my uni even oral exams can be given in a separate room for students who are registered with the disabilities office and have a letter of accommodation. The separate room (at my school) is a small individual room with a closed door. The room has see-through walls so a supervisor can see you from outside and make sure you aren't cheating. There are other students in nearby rooms but you usually aren't able to hear things like pencil scratching because of the closed door.....and if you wear ear-plugs in your room then you definitely don’t hear anything.........and in these rooms (again, at my school) cell phones are banned. :)

I always hear annoying sounds in an exam because I have very VERY sensitive hearing, and it's worse because they cram about 150 of us in our Sports Gym with a high ceiling, that echoes! What also annoys me is that I'm alphabetically place between the same people that tap their fingers and pens on the table, as well as stamp their feet and click their pens. Sometimes, I feel I can't fight the urge to look over and stare at them, in order for them to stop what they're doing, but I if did, the surrounding exam invigilators would probably assume I was trying to look over their paper (cheat) and disqualify my paper.

At first I do, but as I focus more on the test I can usually tune it out. If I'm not feeling well though, I can't tune it out, and actually all noises that bug me seem to get louder.

Yes, I basically need complete silence or classical music playing to focus on a test, and even that first one can be a bit distracting. Luckily though I get to write my exams in a separate room which is better because I don't have to worry about hearing the noise of other people, which is frustrating.
