I have another question about the website, in this case the blog. I'm wondering what the maximum number of charactors that an entry in a blog will hold? I have a rather lengthy commentary that didn't take. I should be able to shorten it.

WP's blogging system never has worked very well and I've seen nothing to help answer Dirtdigger's question.
The best solution really is to use an external blog: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp4726345.html#4726345

I cannot get WPs blogs to accept hard returns.

I cannot get hard returns to appear and therefore get paragraphs, when I post it ignores the returns and I get a big block of text.

This is all I want to achieve, anyone know how I can do this (aside of switching to an external blog?)

Thanks.

Check out this thread: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt148199.html
It's a bit of a mish-mash of hints, clues and complaints - but I think the last post on the first page answers your question.
The blog appears to use a simple mark-up language for formatting, rather like HTML.

Brilliant Cornflake, that fixed it.

Also explained how to solve a couple of other minor problems I've been having.

Thanks.
