Hey,
I've been looking at this forum since last October but just now joined. I was never diagnosed with Aspergers and never knew there saw such a thing until last October when I was doing some research at Wikipedia.com. I was reading the article on Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson and it went on to talk about him being eccentric and possibly having what is now known as Aspergers. I followed the link to Aspergers only out of bored curiosity but the more I read into it the more amazed/shocked I was. It was undeniably describing ME for the most part! All this time I thought what I had was stricly unique to me. I do have OCD, which further study tells me is comonly accompanied with Aspergers, but it's not too bad. I know it's wierd so I keep it under some control. I've known I have that. My communication and interaction skills have gotten better with time but still are lacking. Definitely a few shades off from the rest of the world. Disorganized and dissinterested in a lot of things that NT's typically are interested in. My obsession has always been with firearms. Short interests in other things, odd facinations in unusual things, but my "go to" obsession is guns and shooting. There are most of the other Aspie issues, too.
I would have joined sooner but I guess I was in sort of denial. Kowing there's a name for what I have was both a releif (to kow I'm not the only one in the world) but on the other hand a letdown to know I have an officially recognized syndrome or disorder. Who wants a syndrome or a disorder?
Anyway, here I am.

Why "Raptor" you ask. No reason, really

Welcome!

Raptor is my friends online username, plus the name of a DOS game I used to play.

Does your firearms obsession extend into the sci-fi genre?

Hey, I'm a new member too, but like all things, it seemed presumptuous to start yet another thread. Don't have a lot to say anyway. Posted in the info thread, if anyone is silly enough to want to know about me.

Jackson was a great general, I am with the, not a disorder, no known cause of cure, it is a gift, but it does help to know there are thousands of others. I perfer Mutant.

Lots of very high skills, we the insiders are better able to work out the details, The Great Work begins.

Hang around, if you get the humor, guilty as charged.

calandale, you will not sneek in that way, lets hear your story. Getting to know each other?

Eh, we all have the same story, just different words. It will leak out, if I manage to stick around for a while.
