I agree. It is not scientific. It is just for entertainment. It's a simple test that asks a bunch of questions that are evidently characteristics of a sociopath, and each question checked is a percentage point towards being a sociopath.

I believe the high IQ question pertains to sociopathic people like Ted Bundy or Charles Mason, both having high IQs.

I think for people on the Autistic Spectrum, it might be misleading. Prior to being diagnosed with Asperger's, I have periodically wondered it I were a sociopath simply because I could not relate to other people, and if one has feelings of anger, frustration, and darkness, one can believe there is something wrong, possibly threatening to others. I'm not sure a sociopath would concern themselves about such things. Ok, there was Mister Glass in Unbreakable. I felt so sorry for him, the moment he realizes what he is. He was not the person I think he really wanted to be. Because I did not know what to make of myself for so long, I identified with that feeling. What if I turned out to be everything I didn't want to be? Could Mister Glass really have chosen to be in Gryffindor and not Slytherin? I know I'm crossing the streams with the metaphoric references from different stories. I would hope that Joseph Campbell would approve. I'm rambling.

But I agree with Popsicle. One can make more than one recipe with the same set of ingredients, and they can either be delicious, or burnt beyond recognition. Ok. Maybe mildly undercooked or overcooked as well, or ill prepared.

I am in agreement that this thread does a great disservice to us as a community. It may have been posted just for "fun". its a silly quiz withvery limited result options.
its true there really is scientific/statistical proof that people with AS have an exceptionally high tendency to be kind and peaceful and introspective. There's bad people of every group of populous , but an aspie cannot be a clinical sociopath by definition because a true sociopath has NT emotional understanding and is manipulative, cruel, and calculated. A psychopath is a person lacking conscience who looses touch with reality. Any group of the human population could have one of these in the bunch, but by very definition of character AN ASPIE CANNOT BE A SOCIOPATH. Sadly, it is easier for people on the autism spectrum to fall pray to such ppl.
My father is a diagnosed clinical sociopath. He has a few autist traits. I am the one in my family who has Aspergers. I'm his total opposite . I'm all about love.

I actually think this thread shouldn't be removed. That kind of censoring would be over the top, expecially this being a game thread. I don't believe that an aspie can be a true sociopath. Sociopaths have high e-iq's. They use their high emotional intellegence/ understanding to manipulate. Can an aspie lack conscience and navigate via manipulation like a sociopath? Yeah, of course, people of alltypes can have the antisocial gene(s). But a true aspie has a below average e-iq and therefore would be a psychopath. A psychopath has all the traits of a sociopath except a non-nt emotional/social understanding . A sociopath "gets" it, just doesn't feel it. I don't "get" it so I couldnt be a true sociopath. A sociopath us the fake and cunni.g type, a psychopath is more the calculated, "cold" type. A sociopath will manipulate for sport and toachieve a means. A psychopath is adverse to emotional games and manipulates soley to achieve their means.
While not all experts ag with the defrengition theory between the two types, to me it makes a lot of sense. I find it quite interesting.


Connection between aspies and sociopaths. Well, both would have an understanding based on not giving off the right emotional responses expected in situations, feeling different than expected, both may come off as egocentric, may enjoy controversial discussions, may feel a bit set apart from others. Not all sociopaths necessarily become violent, they arecharismatic, often great conversationalists and can even be a friend. Never trust one. They can turn on you in a heartbeat. If you know one always keep that in mind.
