can't enter my birthdate

When I go to my profile to put in my birth date, it just comes up with a message saying " sorry, your email address is invalid" I'd like to add my birth date so I can have access to all of the forums, can someone help me?

Your EMail address looks fine.

The error may be a weird side-effect of an incorrect setting for "Forums Date format" in your profile, which was set as your member name.
I've reset that back to the default - try entering your birth date again.
(I've also reset the timezone to something more appropriate for your location - it was set to GMT+10)

I've temporarily replaced your EMail address with a dummy address.
Please try again and I'll restore the correct address once you've (hopefully!) succeeded.

I've just successfully set it to a fictitious birthdate so please PM me with what you want to enter as your birthdate and I'll set it "via the back door", and restore your real EMail address too.
Please also let me know whether you want your profile (as viewed by others) to show the full date, the day and month (but not the year), or nothing.
