This might be the worst movie ever. Any one plan on watching it?

My first thought was: is this for real?
Then I thought: of course it is - it's on Scy Fy!

SyFy. All the crappy B-Grade movies you can keep down for $29.95/month.

Ooow, this really sounds awful. But then, Jaws became a popular movie for some reason. And did that guy say sharks aren't fish?

And that's the story of Tara Reid's career drawing it's final breath.

Well, Jaw's was actually very good for it's time. It seems like garbage now, of course. But technology has improved a lot since then and people also learn better story-telling and how to make things scarier or suspenseful as the movie industry gets older, more techniques are discovered. Plus, I think Jaw's was the first movie where a Shark was the "villain" and that alone was scary back then. People are very afraid of the unknown/new.
And just like any movie from the 70s that was meant to be scary, there's no way they're scary now.

Could this possibly have the first cinematic screenplay to win a literary Nobel Prize?

Dont get cable- so you all will have to fill me in.

So- is it about torrents of sharks coming at us from the sky?

Calling that concept 'dumb' would be an insult to dumb moives! It sounds beyond dumb.

Not only that- it sounds like a ripoff of the "Snakes on a Plane" concept- which was a GOOD bad movie- with atleast it had a halfway believable premise.

So lets all build on the concept.

Lets propose possible movies that combine two scary things in the title.

List scary stuff (or stuff that folks frequently THINK are scary), then combine random list items into pairs to get new movie concepts.

spiders, snakes, the IRS, cancer, failure, rejection, Jihadi terrorists, orcas, giant squids, asteroids, supervolcanoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, piranas, leeches, genetically modified foods, hurricanes, tornados, floods, and whatever else you can think of.

Then combine them ala "snakes on a plane" or "sharknado".

IRS-quake

leech-a-cane

gmo-orca

Al Queda-cano

And...strange forces causing everyone on the planet to suddenly become unpopular and to be unable to get a date in: "Dorkpocalypse"

Do the above- and you will predict the titles of all the summer blockbusters and syfy channel shows for the next ten years!

I love how they gracefully soar and flail through the air, utterly confused. Nature is so beautiful in her elemental fury. *wipes away a tear*

I chickened out at the last minute, but Entertainment Weekly gave it kinda a positive review.

There is going to be a Sharknado 2. I think it should follow along the line of Troll 2 and not have sharks, but orcas.

There was a previous SyFy movie called Spiderquake (starring Tracey Gold) about underground spiders in New Orleans who appear after a massive earthquake (obviously). They evolved to breathe fire because of exposure to fracking
