So I take it that black's a common colour. My 'spectrum': (sorry about the bad pun)
Dark Blue= Exhausted, estatic, over the moon, or on the bad side, breakdown/ touch-me-and-die, very, very upset, beyond human consolation, if flecked with hazel, only 3 people have ever seen this colour, Mum, Dad and Mrs T.
Light Blue = Happy, on a huge high.
Grey = Normal, my eyes are usually grey at school, sorta sad,
Green = My warning, I'm feeling sensitive, be wary, feeling strongly towards some/thing/one
Hazel= I rarely go beyond hazel, but that's when it gets nasty. I'm very vulnerable, and you will probably see tears welling if you manage to keep eye contact, and getting that off me will be incredibly difficult, almost impossible.

Well, that's really cool how others have it too, but I wonder, is it found in NT's too? Or is it only in us?

Dunno, but the other person i was talkin about has AS. Unfortunately, shes not on wp, so you cant talk to her about it here. If you want, i can ask her if she minds me givin you her msn address, and she probably wont.

My pupils change size depending on the lighting conditions. Its pretty spesh.

I just wanted to tell you that you express yourself so beautifully in writing. Also, I have a duaghter named Sarah who is 14, and I'm quite fond of that name.

The experience you described finding such a deep connection with your teacher really touched me. I didn't have as much difficulty in school as some people here (although I didn't have many friends and I got bullied some), but I would have given anything to feel truly understood and cherished at any point in my childhood. 13 is a rough age for everyone; it was certainly a time of feeling very lost and alone for me. And I'm so sorry that something that started out as such a beautiful experience has turned awkward and uncomfortable due to the circumstances. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Soma, something like that happened with me last year and I still find it hard to talk about. It was this young human resources worker who fought for me to get my job back (they were going to get me to leave because I was having a lot of trouble coping with changes in the workplace).

I truly believe if he hadn't got involved, I would be on a disability pension now. Anyway, we developed a really good rapport (so I thought) and he even came up from Brisbane to Townsville to meet me and all the other people involved in my case.

I didn't understand that he was going to not be involved anymore and got horribly upset about it. In the end I was told I wasn't allowed to talk to him anymore and I think that was very cruel but maybe he got scared that he had let down his professional facade and let his real personality out for a while.

My manager at the time was very good and sympathetic but her boss wasn't so much and kept on trying to make out that I was not using my "strategies" to cope with not being able to sleep, feeling like I wanted to harm myself, and getting panic attacks being alone at home (on the days my younger daughter wasn't staying over)

One day, I had a huge meltdown in front of my boss and her boss because of something that was said and then I got a lecture from the employment advisor that I'd lose my job if I did it again. I thought he was saying I was stupid but fortunately, have not had any more meltdowns in the workplace and nothing more serious than a few tears (which I guess anybody can have at times if they are upset)

Welcome, i'm glad to see another proud of their individuality. Some people see this as something to be overcome, whereas others are proud of their differences.

I on the otherhand am proud to be A LOT different. I never found anyone in my school career that was NEARLY as much of a wacko as I am. And I looked. And according to the statistics there MUST have been other people in the autistic spectrum in those schools.
