This is a good proof that a community with asocial people actualy can function as long as we have some moderation but mostly doesn't have to stress ourselves trying to be socialy skilled. WP is a wonderful place, and the rumour spreads fast, when I joined in 2006 it was about 6000 members, and the count rises rapidly.

It seems like yesterday that I modified the Wikipedia article on WP, to say that it had over 7,000 members (previously 5,000). I think that was only a couple of months ago.
