See what I did there? Bonkers film at any rate. That notwithstanding has anyone any experience with staring at folk. From my own experience I spent the past 6 months working as a waiter where I would often stare at selected individuals (no criteria for staring). Perhaps its a woman I find devastatingly attractive or maybe nothing in parrticular but I will give furtive/not so furtive glances and even longer looks compulsively. Anyone else? Ive heard that itmight be something Aspies have in common.

I prefer to wear sunglasses. That way I can watch people and not seem creepy.

I prefer to watch people who act wildly or are causing a scene. I find grandiose people entertaining.

My neighbor and I actually discussed the idea of buying a goat and sharing it to keep our yards cut. Mainly because she's the only other person in the neighborhood who doesn't use a yard man and her husband doesn't like to cut the grass either.

I bring this up because I think you were talking about the movie about staring at goats. I'm also bored and waiting for the gas company so I'm just typing anything.

Goats have super cool eyes. They are fun to stare at. I know it my seem kinda weird, but I find myself staring at people to try to understand social cues. Psycological personality traits too. One fun one is the fact that a normal person blinks about every about every 12 seconds, and a sociopath rarely ever does. Sometimes they just kinda close there eyes once in a while without actually blinking. When you see one, you know to keep your distance, and not make friends. Being an aspie that works on motorcycles, its kind of important to look out for. those 1% ers can really screw your head up.

I enjoy people watching. While waiting in airports I always take along something to read, anticipating boredom. But it seems I rarely read anything, much preferring to watch the parade of people. I do try my best to avoid prolonged watching of any one individual, though that is usually what I most want to do.

I have tried sunglasses so that I can indulge myself without being too creepy, but I usually forget to bring them along. Besides, these days wearing sunglasses inside an airport might be a bit of an invitation for an unwanted chat with TSA agents. :-)

Thatsan urban myth. Some* sociopaths have been shown to blink abnormally but its not a universal trait. Too often you only realise that youve fallen foul of a socio after the dust has settled. One of my managers at work is almost certainly a sociopath - I have only come to this realisation after 4-5 months of misery. Also given that we're generally not as adept at the subtleties of social interaction I imagine that its unlikely that your average aspie is going to be able to pin the tail on the sociopath with any accuracy
