Health forum

Hi.

I feel there should be a forum dedicated to health. In fact I can only see the "Games, Sports, and Fitness" or "Random Discussion" having to do with health (& the gender & ones having to do with health in certain areas). I feel health is so much more important than a lot of the stuff that is on this bbs.

Would really like to see a forum like this on here.

That's all it CAN be. And sharing war stories. Still, it strikes me as more valuable than some of what is currently here. But, I'm very opposed to adding forums, without a hierarchical structure, to reduce the length of the main page.

Not that my opinion means anything.

There would have to be some serious moderation for a place like that. Liability and all...it'd be best to find an already well-established place. I'm afraid I don't know of any though.

I like the idea as I am into alternative medicien, aroma therapy, yoga, etc...
But I do agree that we already have a lot of forums...
But if alex decides to create the forum I wouldn't be opposed to it...

Maybe you could put something up in the Guide to life forum. Nobody seems to be using it.

I just wrote that I'd like a new health forum...however it seems to me the more urgent issue would be a new forum for senior aspies... Their dino-aspie thread has over 1000 posts...and it seems they need a more accomodating outlet...Just a suggestion...

Maybe there can be a sticky for medical terms to be explained by moi.

After all, people might get baffled by medical terms, and I have a lot of actual texts on subjects ranging from nutrition to surgery. One proviso: I don't do alternative medicine, though any supplements I could look up. Wikipedia as far as that is concerned is a last resort...

Sure. But that might be harder to rationalize going into the Guide.

Where is the Guide to life forum? I don't see it on WP...

It might not be available though. If not, mention something, because I would guess Alex intended for it to be visible. Would explain a lot, if it's not.
