I was wondering if there were fans of Power Rangers out there that have never seen or are even not interested in the Super Sentai that the Japanese footage comes from? I am currently collecting the series on DVD. So far I have the first 7 seasons in two boxsets and a copy of the Turbo movie. The first boxset contains the entire Mighty Morphin series that have lasted 3 seasons and the second boxset contains seasons 4 to 7 (Zeo, Turbo, In Space and Lost Galaxy) and so far I'm really enjoying it, though watching Turbo again I can really see why it's considered one of the least favourable seasons and if I do revisit it again I don't think there will be many good episodes as much as previous seasons to revisit. Collecting these DVDs means that I am obviously a fan, but most of the hardcore fans out there seem to also like the sentai, but I've never really been interested in watching it. I mean it's hard enough watching Power Rangers but to spend a lot of time watching japanese footage (even if there are subtitles) would be nerve racking. So I don't really think I will be watching the sentai, but is saying that making me out to not being a true PR fan? Is that like saying I like the Star Wars prequels but have never watched the originals and have no interest in watching them at all?
