Films the Nostalgia Critic reviews that you haven't seen

Do you ever watch an NC review of a movie you've never seen or are you like me and just watch them anyway? Recently he just reviewed After Earth, which is a film that is very hated, and while I've seen clips and an Honest Trailer I have never actually seen the movie itself but after watching the review I kinda have now and I can say it was OK, not as hilariously funny as some of his other ones. I mean I bet when everyone else entered the site and saw that it was After Earth then I'm guessing they were jumping for joy and saying yes so many times but me I just thought hmm interesting. Granted there are other movies he's reviewed that I have not seen and watching some of them for the first time I was laughing my ass off but in this case it was OK.

I mostly got into NC because he reviewed films I had never seen. For instance I never saw Shazam (ugh) Steel, Quest for Camelot and found them hilarious.

I thought the After Earth review was pretty entertaining. I'm glad to see he keeps bringing back the Demo Reel crew to contribute to his videos, Malcolm was pretty funny in his Cypher Rage role.

But yes, I haven't seen After Earth yet, either, and I often watch NC videos of films I haven't seen (in full). One that comes to mind is that Dennis Rodman film Simon Sez. I really should go and see that some time, even though Doug's review of it covers much ground already. But it looks to be hilariously bad.

Usually when I think that I would enjoy a movie I haven't seen, and I see that one of the TGWTG reviewers has made a video about it, I don't watch that video. There are exceptions, though.

I haven't seen After Earth either but I've seen multiple Youtube reviewers give a 5-minute take on the movie and why they either hated it or felt it wasn't as bad as people said it was.

I'm really not a movie person, so I've only seen a handful of movies The NC reviews. Most of them are from the 90's and before. And after seeing most of his reviews, I'm very glad I didn't waste time, money or effort on sitting through the whole thing. Actually, I don't usually watch reviews of movies I've already seen since I know what they're like and decide for myself if they're good or not, or I don't want to endure the shame and embarrassment of actually having seen them.

The Nostalgia Critic is not a real film critic, he just pretends to be one online because it's fun. The critic character he plays is a guy, who hates almost every movie in the world. He reviews any film whether it was already reviewed badly by real critics or not. He's sort of like a funny Daniel Neman character. That guy actually does dislike a lot of movies. The NC reviewed a movie I love, which is Jim Carrey's version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas, in a bad way, and criticized everything about it. I know that a lot of people really didn't like Carrey's Grinch, honestly, but I am nuts for it! Also, Ron Howard, who directed it, did an awesome job. He's an extremely talented guy! However, The Cat In The Hat movie after The Grinch, was hated by the entire world almost, and I don't care for it either. That one didn't involve Carrey or Howard, and instead, had Mike Myers, playing the cat, which was a major miscasting choice. I don't pay attention to the NC, anyway, since he's just a made up internet character.
