I fish sometimes. For food.

I don't think I would hunt (unless I needed to eat). I can't deal with the sound of guns.

I do like archery though. As target shooting. But I have no resources at the moment for learning any more of it.

I've always felt sorry for the fish. Although, sometimes I wish people would fish to eat them, and not just catch one, pry it off the hook, then throw it back. Giving the fish a hole in the lip while scaring the s**t out of it isn't all too kind.

Just humans having a little fun and traumatizing nature at the same time. Eating the fish is logical and not purposeless. But fishing and throwing it back is almost like tying a can to a dog's tail and watching it squeal to one's amusement... imho.

Yes, catch-and-release fishing has always seemed pointless and cruel to me. I've never not eaten what I caught.

If you can convince the ATF and the Caliban government to give you you a class 3 Federal Firearms License, you could get a silencer. :D

...Or maybe I could find you a recipie for a silencer in the Anarchist Cookbook. I think they can be made from a soda can.

I guess, but it sounds like it would be better strategically to take the fight to where you're at. To me, it sounds like the UK needs a new government worse than the US.

Good. I have a bow and hopefully you can smuggle in some guns. If we can get more people we could form a 'protest march' against Iraq, and as we near Downing Street we pull out guns and bombs and storm the place!

Is there any legal way left to own a firearm anywhere in the UK anymore? If there is, that would be the best place to start.

Yeah, but you need a license. And I am too young to get one. Can simply robs gun shops using a bow or instead buy paintball guns and fill them full of marbles.

How old are you and how old do you have to be for a gun license? I've been old enough for long guns for 5 years and 2 for pistols. Until you are old enough, start planning your home defense and your revolution. Work on raising public support for a massive overhaul of the government before killing people or blowing things up unilaterally. Considering how well entrenched the political elite are behind their security apparatus, even a revolt with the support if the majority of the people would probably require a pitched battle to remove them. I strongly doubt you could use the existing system to facilitate the changes without becoming consumed by what you formerly despised. Look at what happened to Arnold Schwartzenegger.

I am fourteen. I shall follow your advice then. Hopefully in 5 years the revolution shall come.

I was never one for hunting, but I've also never been opposed to others hunting. I think that the whole thing is kind of cruel, but I am sure that dying of a gunshot wound is a lot less painful than dying by being torn to shreds by a pack of wolves.

If only we could bring the wolves back... That would be cool. Unfortunately the mindset here in the US midwest is "yes, bring the wolves back; just don't bring them back HERE"[/b]

When I think of archery, I automatically think of Robin Hood. YUM.

Unless you grab an animal and start eating it while it is alive and writhing in agony.

In world of warcraft I hunt for arguments about roleplaying in general chat. It is absolutely delicious to watch 2 idiots pissing each other off about a stupid topic and they do it for free and always in predictable locations.

Just imagine hunting creatures from Morrowind.
