When accessing WrongPlanet, as with almost any other website (and certainly any websites about Autism and Asperger's that aren't the homepage of charities), you recieve adverts in various forms. There is meant to be one above the menubar and one on the side, between the number of WP members and the users registered today and yesterday (even without AdBlock Plus, I cannot see them), and a square advert at the bottom for which I can see, but which is (at least on this computer) always advertising the Emirates Air Line near the O2 in London. Personally, I think that the ad space at the top makes the menubar at the top look disorganised (maybe put the advert below the menubar) and that the ad space on the side should be below the "ASPIE AFFECTION" link and the users registered today and yesterday. The square advert, I believe, should become a banner advert.

I use firefox as my browser which I also have adblocker installed so I don't have problems with intrusive adverts. I checked on innternet explorer and there was a Virgin media advert and at the bottom some advert claiming to be able to reverse entropic decay in people which is a lie because you cannot change the laws of biology. Other than that there had previously been some stupid stem cell therapy quack remedies for which were for those that hate autistic people but again lies. That is why I use a browser that is compatible with adblock plus.

For the record, I am talking about the positioning of advert spaces and not the actual adverts themselves.

Add the following custom filter to Adblock Plus to remove the sidebar:

wrongplanet.net##TD[width="170"]
