As you all know, it seems our friend Atomic-psycho is back in black, so to speak. Consequently, you may all have seen the numerous spam topics erected on multiple boards, each signed by a different person, whom we believe is merely atomic-psycho's multiple personalites maifesting themselves. As such, i beseech the WP community to not panic, and to make no notice on any of these spam threads that they have been considered a threat. In the meantime, we shall wait for Alex and the moderators to appear to delete the offending messages and their creator(s) in a timely and efficent manner. I shall try and e-mail alex to see if i can get his attention. In the meantime, PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE TROLL.

Yours Sincerely,

Roxas XIII

I've just suddenly noticed as I've logged on to see BOOM written all the way down the side. :|

Such child-ish behaviour. I guess he's got nothing better to do.

well, he was only able to come back due to a mistake on my part. his IP ban is now permanent. So far he's been too stupid to use a proxy server, although proxy servers are blocked anyway...

no, open proxy servers are blocked from accessing the site.

No they aren't. You might want to update your proxy list. Going through one of the proxies on proxy.org worked without a hitch.

Proxy.org clearly explains the difference between HTML proxies (what they provide) and open proxy servers (the servers we block)

Ok, you win, open proxies aren't allowed (to my knowledge, haven't tested them all.) Proxies can still access, which is rather contradictory to your first comment on proxies being blocked.

Correct my errors all you want, but safeguard the site first. Blocking only open proxies does no good if someone can go through an HTTP proxy or a PHP proxy.

Yes you can use anything as a proxy, even google reader. Say you were in china behind the great firewall. You could use that to get all the banned publications and blogs.
