Hello everyone,

There has been a HUGE Internet debate on trying to figure out whether this dress is blue/black OR white/gold. I personally believe that the dress is blue/black.

What do you guys think ?!

What, are people debating about this ridiculous piece of nonsense color blind? It does not look white or gold at all. It looks blue and a sort of brownish black.

If people think this is something worth arguing about than I weep for the world. :(

I'm trying not to think about it too much.

I just saw an article about this. Looked at the dress. White/gold. Scrolled down to read article. Tried to process explanation which didnt make a whole lot of sense. Scrolled back up to look at it again.

Blue and black that time. Still remains blue and black now. Wont go back to white and gold.

Ugh it's like visually trying to divide by zero. Which in and of itself also doesnt make sense.

One of the articles goes on about how it might have something to do with each person's eyes being slightly different, but that doesnt explain how someone could see it as one color, but then later see it as the other.

Just.... owhsrgihwrg. Dont understand.

*sigh*

Look up one of the articles about it. The whole issue is that people are genuinely seeing it as different colors. Each cannot percieve the other side that sees it differently. Simply because YOU cannot see it as white/gold doesnt mean others dont.

I'm guessing my view is kinda rare, where I saw it as one, and then saw it as the other later.

Also, here:

One of the articles which contains the original, much larger photo. It's possible the size may contribute to the effect, so figured I'd show the original.

I see chartreuse and hot pink. But maybe the two-year-old has been changing my color settings again.

I read some of the articles on this. It's actually quite trippy. I always wondered errant things like if I say the sky is blue if that means something different to me than it does to other people. Maybe other people see what I see as blue as green, and we'll never know because they understand it as blue.

Too many Grateful Dead shows as a young adult, obviously.

I see it as blue and brown. I read the article and returned to the image and it still looks blue and brown to me. Odd. I'm not sure how reliable my eyes are though. I've done LSD and mushrooms in the past and my perceptions of the colour blue have been wonky ever since.

*UPDATE*

This may sound completely crazy, but as you may have read when I wrote this post, I believed that the dress was blue/black.
I refreshed the page, looked at the same picture of the dress, and now it's white/gold ! The color of the dress literally changed before my eyes, in all honesty.
I'm a little freaked out, to be honest. 8O

I see white/gold. Strange that black can be seen in it by others, because the whole thing looks very light to me.

I see a cold, almost blue white and a warm gold, but when I looked at full length images of the dress I can see black threads on the trim of the gold sections.
