Telling someone you reported them can make things escalate between you two. It's better you do it behind their backs if you know what I mean. I don't think any mod will tell them who reported them. But yet we have an open thread here where we can openly report things, especially other members. But telling them you reported them will just draw more attention.

I probably shouldn't have said that you threw a tantrum. Sorry about that.

If you're concerned about how a thread is going, options in addition to the report button include talking it out in the thread, or sending a private message to a moderator with your concerns. I know we got off to a bad start, but I'm always willing to talk to members who message me with their concerns. I won't necessarily agree, and I won't hesitate to be blunt if I think the situation warrants it, but I will keep listening and engaging in dialogue.
