Now, POSTS have gone missing!

I made a post yesterday @ 4:40pm, to THIS thread.....

.....but, it's now GONE, off the thread----but, REMAINS in my "View All" (from my profile). I can send whomever a screenshot, but as you can see, the URL has a "go-to" element----so, that PROVES that it WAS posted----AND, if you look at the index page for RD, it indicates MY name, as the LAST post!

I've always wondered why, sometimes, when I open a thread, that's fairly high-up on the individual forum's index page (there's CLEARLY an indication that a RECENT post has been made), that when the thread opens, the post is not there; and, sometimes, the last post was a year ago, for instance. I just assumed the person changed their mind, and deleted their post----NOW, I'm thinking WAAAAAY more posts have gone missing----and, this has been going-on, for AWHILE!

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Yeah, I know, "system glitch"----but, I just wondered if there was any OTHER reason----and, if anyone else, has experienced it.

ive seen a few posts show up in threads since last visit but when I click on the thread they're not there

I asked to have your post deleted. Sorry, bad joke. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the age of the thread. Maybe there's some glitchy bump cutoff point.

I was wondering about the same thread, too. Earlier when lostonearth35 was the last poster, her post wasn't there. It seems that the post count is wrong. It says 15 posts (14 replies) both before and after you posted but there are probably more than 30 of them in the thread. Somehow the post count stopped increasing. "15 posts" means that the thread is only one-page long and that doesn't give you a link to the second page although there are actually more than 15 posts. I saw your and other posters' hidden posts. So they are there but you can't access them in a normal way.

I've seen the same thing happen to other threads before. No one seemed to care enough to report them to mods though I don't know if a mod could do anything about it. Yeah, could have something to do with the age of the thread.

It's a glitch. The posts aren't missing, Cat. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page in thread you mentioned, you will see a line under the last post where you can choose how to sort the posts. If you change "Ascending" to "Descending", you will see the missing posts.

UNbeLIEVable----they're there----THANKS! When you do that, then the second page shows-up, and NOT the FIRST!! How'd you know to do that, Skil?

sometimes different pages of threads show all the post when others don't. you can switch the Display posts from previous setting and it will work as well, maybe. try it out.
