Apparently I am permanently banned, because a ban was issued to my IP address from this website...I had enough sense to reload the site and find it was just an error message. But yes might want to fix that one if possible, since that could be quite devastating to see for many people here...even if it is in error.

There have been a number of frustrating errors which the mods don't have the tools to fix, and Alex needs a few techies with knowledge of development / troubleshooting to fix them permanently.

I'm glad you came right but realize this can be highly demotivating to new folk who are not aware of the problems and think they've been shut out for unknown reasons.
