How to post picture via PM?

I would like to post some pictures to someone, I communicate with via PM. I have put my pictures into Imageshack.us, and the links are shown, - but the do not seem to work.
Anyway, I have difficulty finding out how to use the formula (english isn´t my native language).
I also attatched a dropbox, - but that is the furthest I came.
Could anyone help me with this?

I have only utilized Google plus, but you can also do this for facebook pictures.
1. 1st click the far icon above the text box that looks like mountains &a sun over it. It is the INSERT IMAGE icon and while hovering over it, the title will display.
2. Next, Find the picture on social media that you want to share. Right click, &select from the drop down menu for Facebook select "copy link address" or google plus it is "Copy URL" then paste it to the box titled "LINK FOR IMAGE"
