By the way, he hasn't visited the site since the 14th... is there anyone who really wonders whether he cares about it at all?

i remember in October when he posted the thread about the site change, it had been almost exactly a month since he last logged in.

If you want to add comments to your original post, just hit the "quote" button on the original post, and start your reply with the words "In addition ..." or "I've changed my mind about ..." or "I was completely wrong about ...", and then follow through with what you want to say.

Yes, it's just that simple.

that does work but the thing is, people won't always see the comments to the original post (if they're reading the thread from the very beginning) and might up and reply to the original without checking if there's a follow-up.

not the poster's fault of course, but i think it could be more or less averted with the longer edit times. (seeing post edit histories could be very handy as well).

25 minutes might be more than sufficient for the linguistic folks, but for me personally as a visual thinker, its a restrictive time limit; what I'm trying to communicate makes absolute sense to me, I see it, I understand it, but the point of communication is for others to understand, and often the actual meaning of a point can be lost due to a slight jumbling of words.

i can relate to this...

This is still annoying me - I happen to forget to put a crucial 'not' on viewtopic.php?t=292551 - which completely changes the meaning... and I happen to have discovered that hours later...
