Here's where you upload a picture of yourself and they analyze the points on your face and compare them to other uploaded pictures. You can choose to leave your own photo there, or NOT have it included in the database.

I thought it was fun. But I got a lot of much better looking women and some guy. I looked at the pictures. and thought to myself that I do NOT look like those people. However, looking at things like the distance between this feature and that one, the width of this, length of that, I can see where it's similar.

It's still in beta, and it has something wrong with it. But it is the kind of application that may be eventually used to spot criminals. Think of a computer thousands of times faster that is able to process faces on a city street from a camera. And it would go through all the criminal databases, to locate criminals. National or international levels of crime stopping could be achieved.

Yes, there are a bunch of privacy issues, personal safety. We don't want abusive ex-partners tracking us down via hacking into the system. We don't want it used frivolously. But by golly, if it would locate missing children and kidnappers and bank robbers, I say it's good.

See where this site's technology is at now, and you can pass on the info to your grandkids or grand-nieces and nephews someday in the future.

It seems as fantastic as it did when they first started using scanning and UPCs at grocery stores. Hey, youngsters, they used to stamp the price on cans with ink, one by one, when I was a kid.

Uh, the only reason I regret not having kids is that I have no one to bore with tales of my youth. So, you are all people who I can potentially bore with tales of my youth.

If my links suck, you should all say so. Really. Otherwise I'll keep on posting stuff that nobody is interested in. Then you'll really be sorry.
