Yeah and maybe they can give all that money back that they stole off the country.

But ... at least they are not politicians - Blair for instance is a dangerous fanatic; I prefer morons to fanatics.

Vote? This existing 'system' is incapable of preventing the destruction of the planet and mankind (and all the little animals). Why would you vote ?

As I see it, Britain has a choice between (1) news about the Royal Family's antics (2) American style news about random celebrities' antics, e.g. Britney Spears'. Which is worse? 8O

In answer to the question, the reason was more political than that.

The referendum back in 1999 was on the issue of becoming a republic where...
