How many of you on here have purchased any type of book on Asperger Syndrome and employment. A book that is a real guide for how to succeed socially in a white collar office environment? Has it helped you at all?

I have already ordered such a book, but it hasn't arrived yet.

You're going to need more than the book, I think.

"Aspergers On The Job" by Rudy Simone is really good. I can strongly recommend it for any kind of job.

I'm not a white collar worker, but I found the books available very simplistic. I could see them being helpful to a young adult starting out perhaps, but they aren't going to give you the tools to conquer social politics.

I work at school, and am part of the supporting personnel (I am not a teacher, nor a part of the management personnel). I do administrative work, copying, sometimes I do computer work. I clean used cups, knives, spoons, etc. and I clean the kitchen of the break room (where the personnel are during breaks). I care about internal and incoming and outgoing external physical mail.

Soon I will make a move to computer technology and at this time my boss and I are making preparations to enable that move.

I would also be interested in such a book. I have the following, which I would not recommend for white collar purposes:

-Living Independently on the Autism Spectrum, by Lynne Soraya
-A Guide for Successful Employment for Individuals with Autism, by Smith and Juhrs
-Developing Talents, by Grandin and Duffy

I've been interested in this one: Business for Aspies by Ashley Standford but I haven't read it.
