Here's my riddle:

Jack, Bob, Tim, and Tom. Which name is out of place?

(word experts should know this one)

Ok I know I am probably really wrong as I am useless at words.

I will say Jack because Tom, Tom and Bob are shortened names.

Ok here is mines.

What goes up the chimney down, but cannot come down the chimney up ?

The answer is Tim. :) (the other names are also improper nouns; tom = male cat or turkey, jack = a piece in a game of jacks, and bob = a dipping motion; only "tim" is not a real word)

Hmmm...thinking about your riddle. I feel kind of stupid, like the answer should be at the forefront of my mind, but it's not. :(

Hmmm..

Well, smoke goes up a chimney. And it can't come down a chimney.

Both are obvious.

But the word "down" is not involved in talking about smoke going up a chimney.

So I give up.
