Why do people dislike Megan Fox?

It seem's Megan Fox is not portrayed favorably by the media, and I don't understand what it is that people dislike about her.

Well, at least in my opinion, she's not much of an actress. You would be surprised how many young women get leading roles in Hollywood simply due to their good looks. I'd compare her to a sleek sportscar: she has an appealing surface, but little substance or skill. She's kind of an "it-girl", y'know?

I do agree that good looks (and youth) are a priority among casting agents in Hollywood, particularly when it comes to women, which I think is unfortunate, but that's a subject for a different post.

If it is the case that Megan Fox is not the greatest actress, I still don't understand the seemingly disproportionate hostility directed towards her, compared to other actresses who are not very good at their craft.
