Hi I'm new here. i love Disney and been watching it my all life. you're never too old to watch cartoons. to me it's how your mood is to watch them. i would rather laugh and enjoyed the movies or cartoon movies that put me in a good mood. no matter my age.

I really just don't, sorry - I find them primarily just overstimulating rather than deep compared to live action films like the Godfather, or TV series like Breaking Bad, and since they're designed with younger audiences in mind I think this is to be expected. (I sometimes do watch random Youtube videos just for curiousity though).

(And no I don't watch anime; I've heard that in Japan anime cartoons are often aimed more for adult audiences and may have deeper plots than most "Cartoon network"-style shows, but I know next to nothing about anime).

Interestingly there was a recent anime called 91 Days which was pretty much an animated Godfather, a revenge story with mafia and set during the prohibition era.

I miss Roadrunner and the old Tom & Jerry cartoons - they used to be on TV all the time when I was a kid, but i haven't seen them for years.

As far as I'm concerned, you're never too old for cartoons. In fact, if you watch some of your favorite childhood cartoons again as an adult, you'll pick up on the adult jokes that were there in the first place.

Of course, there are plenty of cartoons written for adults as well, such as South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, etc.

Cartoon Network's started showing reruns of Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Ed Edd 'n Eddy late at night, and I'm actually enjoying them more now than I did as a kid, so I can definitely attest to this. :P

Somehow, I'm an adult, technically! And yes, I love cartoons! I'm a big supporter of animation as an art form, though I can't do any myself, haha. Talking about cartoons that you can enjoy more as and adult, Animaniacs (really all the Spielberg series) and Rocko's Modern Life are two of the strongest examples, talking strictly from a comedic stand point. Fingerprints, anyone? But then going back to Hey Arnold!, you pick up on a lot of really heavy adult themes that you probably never did as a kid and you almost have to view the show in an entirely different light. Ren & Stimpy is something I think holds up pretty poorly though. The script and comedy is just not there like, 90% of the time. However, the animation is spectacular and it's a must watch for fans of the medium. Or at least the first two seasons are. "Stimpy's Machine" is still one of the most gorgeously animated cartoons ever made for television.

I'm really happy to see so much BoJack love here! Anyone who enjoys that should go watch F is For Family as well. It's also a Netflix series, and it's very similar to BoJack in terms of themes and subject matter.
