I grew up on the adventures of Arthur the aardvark. it wasn't until i was 14 that me and my siblings watched it religiously. By that age i could understand all the inside jokes and references that younger kids could not possibly get. Arthur is truly a cartoon that both kids and grown-ups can enjoy.
Sadly it seems alot of people feel the show has jumped the shark, most fingers point to the talking Kate and Pal episodes (which i strongly agree). The many voice acting changes over time and the need to "modernize" the show (there are many more references to cell phones and other trendy devices).
Regardless i still enjoy the show and will continue to watch it as it is currently airing it 16th season, although i hear a 17th season is planned.

I used to watch Arthur as a kid on children's programmes after school, and I go through phases of watching it as an adult on Youtube.
DW reminds me of me when I was a little girl as a sister of an older brother! And George reminds me of the shy me who was quiet in class and struggled with my work (although I wasn't dyslexic). I wasn't a bit like Carl. He seems more like a classic autistic to me.
