I thought those DSM Polls were quite good, especially as I have spent around the last six weeks or so looking into such matters on the Internet.
They don't seem to be a serious attempt at original scientific research and in fact the very fact that such taxonomies can be over-generalised and superficially yield 'results' that probably would
not stand the test of clinical rigour seems to be one reason for testing the ideas.
It is also interesting to see how a different 'approach' to a set of observable symptoms can be interpreted so differently by mental health professionals trained in different areas of their discipline.
