I can understand why so many people are enraged about the cast.
The way I see it is there have been lots of remakes with asian actors and this new version just gives a new angle to it.
If people don't like it then they don't have to watch it.
I think a petition is a little overboard.

When it's a race issue , my brain always tells me not to have an opinion , at least on a public forum - it's safer that way.

But there have been plenty of movies of gods with actors of all sorts of races and no backlash.
Michael Caine always speaks with a cockney accent in all his films no matter what. Now that is funny.

The world is always evolving ( hopefully for the better ) , things acceptable decades ago are no's no's now.

If I had the money and wanted to reboot Enter The Dragon but westernized it and cast JCVD as Lee and John Lithgow as Han , that's my choice , it doesn't make me an institutionalized racist or does it ?

I've watched 3 episodes now and it's grown on me a little - hearing a princess with a Mancunian accent is hilarious. Chai Hansen seems to make faces a little like Masaaki Sakai which is a little nostalgic. I'm still not convinced it works but I'm not giving up yet
