China may be most prepared for defence vs. offence... but, they could engineer (counterfeit?) & manufacture planes/ships etc at breakneck speed compared to the rest of the world.. not the same as battle ready, but if they planned to go to work they could ramp up for it faster than any other country with their workforce and manufacturing base.
Also, China doesn't have to fire a shot to take over the world. They have so many wealthy people that are colonizing the most desirable places on the planet right now via $$$$. An Asian friend told me that "You think Americans are patriotic? They are NOTHING compared to Chinese!" and I believe that, too.. I believe once they have enough millionaires seeded all over the world, China will use their leverage against these "economic criminals," who've taken so much money out of China to persuade them and their descendants to take over local politics & then entire countries. Boom, China controls most of the world w/o having fired a shot.
Is North Korea's ultimate objective to conquer the South still? Or have they pivoted and now only seek revenge against the USA? That's the part you're missing.. Kim & his predecessors have vowed revenge on the USA for killing 3 or 5 Million of their citizens during the Korean war. American soldiers packed up and went home after like the end of any American conflict, but North Korea still remembers like it was yesterday and they're still super f*****g pissed off about it.. which is why they keep saying they want to nuke the USA. It wouldn't really surprise me if they attempt it, too.
