Are there any sounds at movie theaters that annoy you?

I love going to the theater, but all of the sounds NTs make can drive me crazy:

Crackling of bags.
Shaking popcorn bags.
Loud chewing.
Whispering to each other.
Depending on the theater - the fans overhead.

I pick up on everything.

I prefer watching movies at home, but still go every week. Especially with PS VR now since it gives me a larger screen and better sound than any theater which is amazing.

What do you think of a noisy audience?

Haven't been to the cinema for about a decade, but those very loud and jarring whooshing, crashing sound effects within the films themselves. They were particularly noticeable in trailers for films.

I stopped seeing movies at the big cinemas years ago because the sound systems just got way too loud for me.
Back when I did, the thing I hated most was sitting near someone with a really piercing laugh or scream, and that horrible gurgly sound when someone is trying to suck up the dregs of their drink through a straw.

I don't hear those sorts of sounds. The only thing that agitates me is if a little kid is sitting directly behind me kicking my seat, or if a little kid is sitting next to me fidgeting the whole time. I find it hard to concentrate on the movie, and it's difficult to move to a different seat if there are a lot of people.

I usually watch a movie when it's showing for the last few times, because it's not so busy and if there is a brat near you there are plenty of empty seats to move to.
