I swear I am not a freaking robot...do I seriously have to do a series of 5 capatcha that just randomly change to post here....seriously you guys fix that. Its likely a gigantic deterrent for anyone who thinks of posting here. No one wants to be asked if they are a robot 5 times before their comment gets posted. I mean like why is the site even targeting long time members to demand they fill out 5 or more capthcas to post a comment.

The Captcha can be a bit annoying, but i've never had to go through it 5 times. I've only been nagged by it when editing a post, probably during high volumes of spamming on cloudflares servers which seem to be a more generic "shields up" kind of thing.

I don't know if this is relevant but, i write my posts in notepad, then paste it into the forum form. If it goes through, i close notepad, but even then i sometimes need to edit it - and sometimes i just don't care because of the effort. I've learned this because so many forums on the net are still crap in 2019, sometimes you get redirected, banners pop up and sometimes sessions time out and your text is gone. Notepad saves time.

Sometimes I have to do it go through 10 boxes of checking off all bicycles, cars, crosswalks etc. It can take 15 minutes to post. Long quotes or multiple quotes triggers captcha.

People occasionally request quotes for linked articles and I like to do that but the system punishes you for posting that way.

The only time I have this problem is when my post involves quotes. The thing is that spammers do NOT even use quotes in the 1st place so it's USELESS for the captchas to be triggered by quotes.

Yes. That does seem to be the case.

Sometimes the site just lets you post with out hassle.

Other times the site makes you jump through a bunch of hoops by checking off screen after screen of those grids of pics (which pictures show a bus?).

Other times it just makes you check that box to reassure it that you're "not a robot". It usually does that when I click the "cancel" button. When I change my mind and I decide NOT to post something THEN it checks up on me. But not when I DO post something. LOL!

But of course the site does that to protect us from those "ashikarian astrology" spammers, and whatever.

But the thing is those type of spammers never respond to other posters on existing threads, much less do they ever quote other posters on existing threads. Those type of spammers only ever START threads by making original posts.

So if you are not making an original post you shouldn't be hassled that way.

Seems like the plan is to wear people out so they lose interest in posting to WP.

What if a fire hydrant is behind a bridge?

What if the traffic light got run over by a vehicle?

What if the only vehicle just fell of the bridge?

What if there is a bicycle in the trunk?
