Read my 2nd and 3d posts in the " My kidneys " post in Health as back story for this one. The things from the previous shelter that I left - three Mondays ago, when I went to the hospital - are, I was told, gone  . When I went to the hospital I was told that they would be safe there and I inquired again while in the hospital and I was told that they would be safe there.
The things I left behind cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars in initial cost all together, I'm sure. They were neatly packed. I imagine someone here could tell me that it's my fault for taking that trip to the Height yesterday, that the men would have turned up if I had not gone there then :(. And/of: It wouldn't have happened if I hadn't had the edibles. Or any comic books. Or other readable. Or the musical instruments. Or if I'd had exclusively second hand clothes. Or it serves me right for leaving Patterson. :o
I have had the same pants ever since I entered the hospital. There was for sure another pair of comparable, entirely new, pants in the stuff, at least. Now I will have to even more completely buy everything again from square one - including underpants and undersgmhirts, there were 100% unopened and new packages of each I I'd :( bought just before leaving Santa Cruz. Now I must buy both again - and at least 2 new pair of comparable oants. There's enough money for this, and would have to have gotten more pants - but it's still more expense and time. I'm not in the mood much to merrily thrift shop now. A.and after the one I went to yesterday, there's less I know and can get to easily than in 2017 in San Francisco. One big one is completely gone and another requires a walk uphill and then downhill to get to and therefore reverse that to get back, there's no bus service to that corner I believe. For two. The NYS lawyer is on vacation out out of the country till the 27th and after that who knows how long it would take to get his attention and have him agree to send money and then have him actually do it and then have it get herd? I do have my SSDI continuing. But, there are more setting-things-up costs here in SF.

Maybe a little investigation might be in order. If your things are gone it is probably due to:
The items being stolen.
The items being trashed.
The items being misplaced.

A shelter is not the most secure place to store possessions. But I suspect that if you report the loss to the shelter management and keep your eyes open, they will turn up again.

...I am now talking about my situation in this temporary respite shelter. It's nice to have a " home " :) - of sorts. It is good to be able to go out during the day and come back, and the curfew is decently late. However, my handicappedness makes walking slow :( , even for the base few blocks here.
There are three meals a day...but given on institutional time, especially dinner, which is 5 OM. To walk/get late afternoon sunshine/ do things I really gave to miss dinner, getting something else.
I was pickpockets on 6th Street, I got a summons Folsom the bus fare cops, as I mentioned, the stuff I left at the earlier shelter is gone, I believe hundreds and hundreds of money originally spent for what was lost, last overnight I had involuntary #2 while I was in bed but the staff, in the morning, did provide stuff and the ability to clean up. The room got a roommate, but no problem with him, he seems mostly asleep when he's here. With someone else here I can't cry and howl over the usual things (in my Sig - plus, turning 2q in a state point-bin where a doctor said " He's not good for anything else but being on the back ward for the rest of his life's " and the 20 years if never being never able to meet Bruh one-on-one - Though I benefited from his death, with the money. :| I almost had my shoppi g bag of reusable stuff stolen from where I left it, by my crutch, in Walgreens" :( . The guard stopped it from being stolen. The common room is nice, when feeling good about it I imagined it might be like what, if I'd done the service and liked if, what the enlistees' common room might have beenike.
I still don't really have a comfortable chair and we'll-lid reading service - Until I have a good room, at least. and some cash atbhand, I don't know how I will :.I
