lol sorry but no. If she lived in the US she wouldn't get healthcare either because she isn't rich nor does she have a job with amazing benefits. The US healthcare system for the average person is utter bottom of the barrel s**t. Socialized healthcare systems in many first world countries work just well for the average person. As a Canadian I can't even imagine having to dish out $1000's for an ER visit or cough up $250 for a doctors visit or like $8000 for a 5 minute ambulance ride. The number one reason Americans go into bankruptcy is medical debt.
A socialized healthcare system vs the American system is not long wait vs short wait but rather long wait vs not having any wait because you can't even afford to see the doctor or whatever procedure done. I can see why you think the American system is so great though, because you likely have never been in a situation where you are sick and actually have to rely on it or have any experience with it.
As for the NHS, the Brexiters campaigned on the notion that they send the EU millions that could otherwise to go the NHS. The moment the leave campaigners won they interviewed one of the leaders for that movement and asked him if he could promise that that money would be spent on the NHS, to which he stated no. Thanks to Brexit the NHS is even more understaffed than ever before given that a large portion of NHS healthcare professionals were from the rest of Europe. Thanks to Brexit the UK has had over $1 trillion of assets moved out of the country and there is less money than before to fund the already bankrupt NHS that has suffered from years of conservative austerity measures.
