When I was really little (ages 2-7) I watched Playdays on children's programmes. That was on every weekday at about 3.30. British members here will probably know what I mean.
I had videos that I watched a lot too, like Thomas The Tank Engine, The Snowman, Grampa, a Tempo Preschool Video, and other children's TV favourites I had on video.
When I got to about age 7 I stopped watching those sorts of things, and watched Disney films instead, like Jungle Book and Aristocats and Peter Pan. Also I got into the Jungle Cubs, and Casper cartoons. Oh, and Sooty too.
Then when I was 8 I got into South Park (that was when it was first on). Yes, I was too young for it but my parents still let me watch it, as I fell in love with it too much. I collected all the figures and stuff. When I was 10 I go into the Simpsons, which I never liked before. And I fell in love with that too (I still love both Simpsons and South Park to this day). I watched Tweenies on children's programmes (I watch those on Youtube sometimes), and Arthur (I watch those on Youtube too). Also at 12 I got some Tom and Jerry videos from my grandmother, and I got into that.

So, yeah, that's what I watched growing up. Right now I am into Outnumbered, Inbetweeners, Grange Hill (first few series), Simpsons and South Park.

We didn't get cable until I was seven, so prior to that, I watched a lot of PBS shows and sitcoms on the main networks. I really loved Sabrina, The Teenage Witch and Full House a lot. I also watched The Simpsons all the time (and I still do). When we got cable, I started watching things on Nickelodeon like SpongeBob SquarePants and other cartoons. As a teenager, I got into Anime and also began watching more animated shows like Family Guy and American Dad.

I’m old enough to say the I remember the Watergate hearings that were rerun on pbs at night.

Specificity is still one of my favorite words.

Not sure anyone outside the UK (or of a certain vintage) will know most of these, but:

When I was little:
All time favourite: The Clangers: woolly knitted aliens that speak in swanny-whistle voices and eat blue-string soup.
Bagpuss
Trumpton: since parodied as a print cartoon with the town mayor as... well, I think you can probably guess!
Ivor the Engine: the narrator did all the steam train noises with his mouth!
The Magic Roundabout: I loved Zebedee, the weird slinky-spring creature best.
Fingerbobs: super hi-tech - a man with paper mouse puppets on his fingers!
Bill and Ben, the Flowerpot Men: and their friend Weed - oh, such innocent times!
Several of the above were narrated by a guy called Oliver Postgate - I have yet to hear a more calming male voice.

Later: Science shows were my favourite:
Think of a Number / Think Again: Johnny Ball was my hero - I always wanted him to be my school science teacher.
Tomorrow's World: Every single prediction about future technology they made seems hilarious now.
Top of the Pops: Weekly music chart show. You had no chance of making playground friends unless you watched this.
Reboot: The first computer animated show I can remember liking.
Blue Peter
: Magazine show noted for disobedient studio pets and people slipping over on elephant poo.
Why Don't You Just Switch Off Your Television Set and Go Out and Do Something Less Boring Instead? Yes, seriously, we had a TV show called this!

A LOT of Yugioh and Pokemon when I was a kid, as well as Jackie Chan Adventures. I loved the Kids WB. Oh, and Mystery Hunters on Discovery Kids.

I live in Canada, so the only channels I watched were YTV, Family Channel, and Teletoon. I basically watched everything on those networks from 3:30pm (when I got home from school) to bedtime (around 8pm). I wasn't awake to watch Detour or Bionix (Canadian equivalents of Adult Swim), so I don't really know anything about those programming blocks.

The Flintstones, The Jetsons, H.R. Pufnstuf, Tom and Jerry, Wiley Coyote, Bugs Bunny, Mr. Magoo----and, Winnie the Pooh was my fav.

Every Sunday evening, we watched Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, then The Ed Sullivan Show.

Quite a lot of this applies to me too.

If 'growing up' is defined as the first sixteen years of one's life, then I was interested enough in the following to be considered a fan of them:

Thomas the Tank Engine
Top Cat
Teletubbies
Tweenies
Brum
Tots TV
Playdays
Tom and Jerry
The Flintstones
Scooby Doo
The Simpsons
Bodger and Badger
Chucklevision
Looney Tunes
Various game and quiz programmes, often viewed on Challenge TV
Danger Mouse
Hong Kong Phooey
Bob the Builder
Postman Pat
Fireman Sam
Moomins
Get Your Own Back
Noddy
Sooty
Coronation Street
Emmerdale
Eastenders
The Bill

As well as many others. There are a number that I can't recall the title of, frustratingly.

Films were something that I mostly avoided throughout childhood, possibly due to an insufficient attention span.

I used to watch Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, then shifted over to Disney XD, and now I watch YouTube and Netflix.
