It wouldn’t be, but if all you know is that social club and are led to believe that it’s the best and only “true” social club in the world (lol), you might not have the insight to realize it, especially if all your family and friends that are in it won’t talk to you if you leave.

No worries. I'm just pointing out that making "Ghosting" or "Shunning" illegal for religious institutions would also mean making it illegal for clubs, schools, places of employment, and other social institutions.

I remember being "counselled" once for ghosting a co-worker after she complained that I had said "Good Morning" to her. It wasn't a hostile act on my part, nor was it a form of retaliation; I was simply trying to avoid a repeat of what happened. Yet I was still somehow in the wrong for trying to avoid more trouble. That employer, by the way, went out of business soon after that episode.

I just don't get this kind of crap where I work.

I say "Good Morning," "Good Afternoon." "My....you look good today!" There's lots of flirting going on.

I feel like people frequently use the sexual harassment statutes as a way of "getting back" at somebody.

We need those statutes---but we also should really appeal to common sense.

If somebody is offended at somebody saying "Good Morning" to them, I would say that somebody probably has some really serious problems which need to be addressed.

I haven’t heard of a lot problems like this in my area. All the people I know who had a talking to by Human Resources deserved it.

I don’t remember the 80’s that well. Let’s see...

There was lots of hairspray, colorful eye shadow, and neon colored running shorts.

There was lots of "big hair"----but not so much hairspray. By the 1980s, many aerosol sprays stopped being used because aerosols create a "hole in the Ozone layer."

Women used to use portable hairdryers to obtain their styles.

Severe use of hairspray was an early 60s thing.

Hair doesn’t stay big unless there’s lots of hairspray (or mousse) in it. One must combine the hairdryer with the hairspray.

Back combing was a good way to big hair. Some women used to add hair pieces in the 60s too.

Human Resources can only work if they remain unbiased but that’s be a a lonely existence, however they useless if they close friends or family of someone who’s causing issues, such as at my work.
