I started watching Dynasty and I was so excited because the premise (rich, corrupt people backstabbing each other) would have made for some interesting twists, a bit like House of Cards or Madmen. However, I couldn't be more disappointed. The show is hell bent at humanising this rich, white billionaire family and justifying their every bad deed because the alternatives are either poor, non white or mentally unstable people from which they need saving. Literally, the plot is so predictable after a while - oh Blake did something bad... but it's ok, those ~tanned people~ were murderous and bad. I mean, I don't care about demographics it's just bad writing. If the supposed controversial protagonist has literally no bad motives other than saving his family by bribing everyone then he isn't controversial. Being rich per se doesn't make him controversial.
Anyone watched the show? What did you think?
