When I first joined this site I saw a list of meanings for the little symbols on the left. I was so eager to join to ask questions I had, that I dived straight in without looking at them. Where can I find this list of symbols and their meanings again?

Those little green symbols on the left of one of those index pages. A few are not coloured, some seem to flash and some have little black dots on them.

Oh, those.

They're autism indicators.

They indicate whether a thread is active or inactive. If the symbol is flashing, it means the thread is very active recently.

Here's a thread that I started on this topic a couple of years ago. Not sure how much progress was made though....

Not necessarily 'recently' though. Here's a thread with a flashing symbol that hasn't been active for over 10 years:

I'm pretty sure that to qualify for a 'flashing symbol', a thread needs to have accumulated 25 posts.

A black dot indicates a topic containing your posts.

the splat is a sticky.
As in it's a permanent thread that doesn't move down the page.

The bell shaped ones are member information threads, such as forum rules.
