Those ads that pop up on the bottom of the screen are annoying. I use a phone to access this site.
Anyway they can be gone?

Does your phone have a Pop-Up Blocker?

I have no idea. Or how to check if it does.

I am getting some kind of viral popup that affects my ipad (which is apple due to work requirements). I tried to eliminate it with online instructions, but it came back. It was also infecting my Chrome browser on the ipad. What I read online indicated that Chrome has done nothing about it, so I deleted Chrome from my ipad.

In safari, I can clear the history and cookies and the popup will go away. But when I click on Wrong Planet, the popup comes right back.

These are not regular popup ads. This is a phony, "you have won x,y,z" and "click here" etc. It says it is because I am "an Apple user."

Anyone have any ideas or a link to a solution? Apple will not permit Safari to be removed from the ipad.

I wonder if there's any adblocker apps you guys can add on to your browsers. I have adblock plus on my FireFox for my desktop & it blocks most of the ads on this site & blocks lots on others. I just checked & they do have an app for android & apple. I'm not sure if it'll work for other browsers than FF thou. I know this site gets funding from ads & I would disable adblocker for here if the ads weren't so intrusive.

I have AdGuard on my iPad for Safari and it got rid of the little ads along the bottom. It’s been a very long time since I saw the you’ve won something pop-ups

What's a good ad blocker to use on a phone?

If its an iPhone, the AdGuard I mentioned should work. Look in the App Store

I looked at it.
When I pushed the download button pic,
it posted that it may be dangerous for my phone. So, I didn't download it.

Sorry to hear that. It seems okay with mine and I run anti virus programs too. Someone on here had recommended it to me when I reported the same problem. Hopefully someone who knows more than me can help! I know the ads are irritating.

Is this more of an issue on a phone? I wouldn't know, as I don't use them. For a laptop or desktop computer, something like Umatrix (an extension for Firefox, Chrome, and probably other browsers) is 100% effective on WP (and just about every other site).

Anybody know any other ad blockers that may work on a phone?
