I'm in the same situation as you. But I'm more concerned from my meltdowns than social issues, since my disability (unspecified developmental disability) doesn't cause social issues. I'm going to move out to a dorm in middle of a foreign city by the end of this month.

And I hate to be that guy, but know that your concerns are actually quite common for anyone who starts college. Take care of yourself, and in the end college is the mostly the best years of your life (freedom without responsibility).

What's your major? Mine is math.

I think many of us also struggle with depression and find social situations difficult.

What are you studying?

Many of us, such as Kortie and many others on the forum including myself, have made it through college. So it is possible for you too. There is a thread somewhere about people who are highly educated.

And as Kortie points out, it is probably normal for most people to be nervous starting college for the first time. But I wouldn't know as I am far from normal.

It's really hard for everybody when they start University.

Don't quit at the first hint of difficulty.
