I got a lecture before because I didn't talk to my mum's friend (because I didn't like him). She told me that I should still be polite even if I don't like him, because it's rude to not speak. But I didn't want to be friends with him, therefore I didn't have to speak to him, right?

Or is it one of those situations where it's OK for an NT to not have to be friendly with a person if they don't want to but if an Aspie isn't friendly towards a person because we don't want to be, we are in the wrong?

No reason really, just didn't want to be friends with him.
