Maybe self-improvement is a waste of energy considering that it's probably going to be ignored on the basis of my ASD.

All I know is that I'm too out of touch with everyone to tell.

Maybe try some hormones: I had my surge and sure enough scheduled two lunch dates. Isn't there some male equivalent?

(My TOM is fully intact: I can understand people, just like me.)

 I'm not sure I want to know what that would consist of.

I haven't been very trusting in our medical system for a long time now.

... More ramblings coming soon...

I meant that as an (oversensitive) woman I have cyclic hormone surges that (really) help and hinder me. Recently they helped. Assuming you are biologically male, you don't have that cycle, but I have a theory that men do have "cyclic" hormone levels also which could help (and hinder) them. I have nothing to substantiate it. My Theory of Mind (TOM) comment (lack thereof) was supposed to hint at that. We'll chalk this one up to "odd sense of humor" on my part.

While you may "not [have] much to say", I always do --- when I am not "behaving" (masking).

Maybe it's a karmic cycle my neurotransmitters are just responding to. The more time I spend isolated, the more I think there isn't really so much of a boundary layer between me & the entire remainder of the world.

I'm just about to eat somw crazy pills & go to sleep.

My AS-like mom wondered that about her AS-like mother. I just figured out today that I keep on the move to avoid this. My current "resting" state is in motion --- b/c when I stop, really stop --- I could spend hours absorbing my environment.

You go to bed early and/or they take time to act. In any case, sleep well! Sleep is so very important for us (or at least I have been told that by multiple professionals since college and I believe it).
