Really Scared
I am not going to be able to work much longer; my job has always been the priority in my life, and I am scared.
The terrifying thing, though, is that 3 years ago when I moved in here, I was told that in 2 1/2 years this would be bulldozed for condominiums; that is why the owner bought it.
Ihave been happier here than any other home; this IS my home.
I am afraid to move; there is NO better rent to be found, and I love it here, but if I wait until we get the notifications, I will be competing with 48 other renters for the same kind of place.
I am heartbroken and sad and so scared.
I haven’t had panic attacks for a good while, but lately I have been on the verge; that is terrifying me as well; anxiety/depression/panic attacks is a horrible cycle I lived through and dread experiencing again.

Best of luck, stuff like that's never easy.
The best you can probably do - stay as clear-headed as you can, meditate when you can, take walks when you can, and try to do whatever positive things you can to jar your perspective and see things from different angles. You need to be able to see your options with intense clarity to be able to identify what your opportunities are.
When you said that your job is your life priority - are you in property maintenance? From the way you bound this together it sounds like that's what your suggesting. If not tell us more, we might be able to help think about the angles with you.

I'm so sorry. Most of us on the spectrum hate and fear unwanted changes, except when they are for the better. When change happens but we don't know what to expect or where we might land up, it causes anxiety. Discuss your options with a trusted friend, colleague or advisor. Like most of us you are clearly a perfectionist who doesn't handle disruptions to established routine well. As someone who's also been through PTSD I understand your fears and trust things will work out in an unexpectedly good way against the odds.

That would scare me too, it's happened before and I may be facing a similar situation in the next few months.
I agree with the sentiments about minding your health as the priority, it's time to take action. I've moved more times than I can count, but it still impacts on me the same way regardless. It's the change that does it, yet what feels like an all consuming anxious/depressive bout can ease if given the space to adjust. It's taken years for me to recognise the difference between a change related temporary bout of depression and the more significant long term kind associated with a prolonged build up of untreated anxiety. They both feel the same in the moment.
What I found before was that competing with students (in my case) was a headache, but I learned, and the last time I paid rent in two places for two months to secure a suitable place to move to when my tenancy was up.
Expensive but totally worth the peace of mind/predictably, would do it again.
A lot can happen in 3 years, financial circumstances of investors can change.
Is there a way to find out when the move out date would be?
There must be a planning permission office/section of local government, the permission may have been delayed due to required changes to the original application, that can be quite common. You may have more time than you think, or not, but it's best to know for sure.
I am sorry you are faced with this Sylkat, trust that it will pass.
I am so sorry to hear that, Sylkat. Uncertainty about important things is dreadful.

Thank you so much for the comfort and support; I have been staving off the anxiety attacks that I have had in the past and dread experiencing again.
Exercise I am getting;I am moving my things by walking to the new place twice a day with ‘stuff’ in a shopping cart, my little dog accompanying me.
I have been paying below $950 monthly; the new place is $1300 before gas and lights.
I know I cannot pay that amount without a full-time job.
I sterilize instrument trays in a hospital, night shift. I’m good at it, my evaluations are good, my shift supervisor is always positive to me.
I’ve been realizing that I come home tired and do nothing but sleep until my day off.
It is hard for me to face that it is becoming too much for me. That is where the emotional impact is.
