Have you ever hated/disliked something at first sight

This happens to me when I read. The first time (that I can remember) that this happened to me was when I read the Twilight books, I could hardly get through a few pages, before thinking that it was a horrible book and didn't want to read it. The second time it happened I was reading the hunger games and while I read a couple chapters, I had to put it down, it just wasn't for me.

The frequency of this occurrence is quite low compared to the volume of books I read, but it's quite disconcerting that this happens as I am unable to give a specific reason for this dislike.

Has anyone here had an experience like this?

Colonel Miles Quaritch, RDA Security Operations Commander, from the movie 'Avatar'. A testosterone-poisoned toxic male from the beginning. I hated him at first sight.

I was one of many who cheered when he died.

Been there, done that.

I’ve had experiences with various media where I disliked it intensely early on. I’ve just started giving myself permission to give up on books, movies, and shows if I don’t like them.

I’m a recovering grammar and spelling snob, so typos in a book or magazine article make me quit reading.

Yes. Certain bicycles. Certain cars. Certain caravans... Certain things!
