The latest info says that if you didn't file 2019 federal taxes yet, they base economic stimulus on 2018 taxes and direct deposit info. People that get SSI will have to file a zero tax return somehow...
My situation:
I had a three week job in 2018 and filed a federal, joint tax return that was a scant 17 dollars.... 2019 we only got SSI so I didn't file federal... But of course my husband died?
What do I do? If I file a 2019 return with my husband listed as deceased will I only get 1,200 but if I let it go I'll get 2,400 since my 2018 return was joint? (A 2019 return would be joint too because he was alive at least part of the year) I had the same bank account info back then as I do now...
