The Term Bachelors Degree.

Now we know the term bachelors degree refers to people who are unmarried and get their degrees. But out if interest, what would the degrees be called for married people?

Erm... “bachelor’s” is from Medieval Latin for a knight who has neither land nor serfs, and by comparison students graduating from universities.
Nothing to do with marital status (that’s a later slang usage of the word that became normalised).

I’m a Bachelor of Arts Second Class with Honours

Nowadays some colleges have started to award an intermediate degree if you survive academia beyond four years by a whole year, but not the full two years to get a masters.

This new degree, in between a Bachelor's and a Masters, is called "Bastard's Degree".

And you can be either thing: "a Bastard of Arts", or "a bastard of science"!
